Founded by Pierre Beaubien, the Société de la musique métal du Québec (SMMQ) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to:

 

• Create, produce and distribute metal music events in Quebec;

• Promote emerging and established metal artists;

• Produce audio and video material to support their development;

• Promote the distribution and recognition of Quebec metal internationally.

 

Based in Repentigny, the SMMQ acts as a community open to all those who believe in the power of Quebec metal: artists, fans, technicians, producers and partners.
